Northgate Celebrates 20 Years

Northgate Aviation celebrated two decades of Northgate Aviation Chico Jet Center at Chico Regional Airport (KCIC) as of October 15th, 2025. The celebration brought several dozen visitors of various backgrounds from across North America, reflecting KCIC and the company's unique role as Chico's front-line ambassador to the world. Founded in 2005 after their acquisition of the now-defunct Chico Aviation, the fixed-base operator has been nationally recognized amongst the aviation industry for its Northern California hospitality and on-going commitment to serving first responders and the United States Armed Forces.

Today, the Northgate logo is rated as one of the most recognizable boutique FBO logos in the United States, with their hats and shirts regularly seen on celebrities and political leaders, and famously found on service-members at home and abroad, thus helping carry on a positive testimonial to Chico's indistinguishable hospitality. The Rock Family, 2nd generation owner-operators of Northgate Aviation and 3rd generation aviation fuel leaders, are proud to extend on behalf of their team an immense gratitude for the Chico Airport and transient aviator community for helping reach this unique milestone and look forward to a successful future of continuing to serve the aviation community from beautiful Chico.
